“I Hucked Up” Huckabee Apologizes To Romney Over “Mormon Diss”
From everyone’s favorite newspaper, The NY Post:

December 13, 2007 — Mike Huckabee apologized to GOP rival Mitt Romney yesterday – after saying, “Don’t Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers?”
The humbled Huckabee – an ordained Baptist minister – asked forgiveness from Romney, a practicing Mormon, following the GOP presidential debate in Johnston, Iowa. “I went to Mitt Romney and apologized to him,” said Huckabee, who is surging in the polls.
“I said I would never try to somehow pick out some point of your faith and make it an issue. I told him face to face . . . ‘I don’t think your being a Mormon ought to make you more or less qualified for being president,’ ” Huckabee told CNN’s “Situation Room.”
Huckabee even alluded to his nasty remark about Mormons, which will appear in The New York Times Magazine, during yesterday’s televised debate when asked about his New Year’s resolution.
“I will be a lot more careful about everything I say,” he said.
Alas, it appears that it’s already too late for the Huckster.
