‘She’s on Fire’: Teen Calls 911 as Mom Tries Fiery Suicide Attempt in Car
An Indiana woman is fighting for her life after setting herself on fire next to her 14-year-old daughter.
Yvette “Mickey” Jackson suffered burns over half of her body. The sheriff said her 12-year-old child was also in the car before she set herself on fire.
Jackson’s 14-year-old daughter called 911 from a mobile home trying to save her mother’s life, too shaken to clearly utter an address.
“My mom is committing suicide. Help her… She’s on fire… she poured alcohol all over herself and lit herself on fire,” she told 911 dispatchers.
Within minutes, police and firefighters rushed to help.
